Wood shed – Detailed plans

File this under the “Random Musings” part of the title of this blog. It has nothing to do with real estate, but is one of my hobbies that I enjoy. I found yet another broken link from my old blog. This Google Sketchup model has 1020 downloads and over 5000 views in the last year. This is the detailed contruction plans for an 8 ft x 16 ft wood shed. My son and I built this shed in the summer of 2008 (without the plans) and it turned out so well that I thought I’d share it here. Not detailed in the plan; I added a 2×4 frame floor using joist hangers so that the 2×4′s could be removed as your wood supply is used up during the season. I added some sliding barns doors. My shed is built on a slope so the doors could not be bypass style doors. If your shed location is level you could use a bypass style door track and avoid extending the track beyond the shed footprint.
